  • So it took three days to get to North Dakota....   it was fun though.  I got to see a flood and due to the flood all the hotel rooms were full, so the company who hired me was FORCED to let me sleep in a whirlpool suite (with seperate living room...) and kyle to sleep in a queen suite... SO cool.   Anyways, didnt think anything was in North Dakota but we are 10 minutes from the badlands.  If you dont know what they are, you should look up some pictures.  GORGEOUS
  • Gas is very expensive here...
  • The first day to work was 2 hours away.... i was tired by the weekend but i still went camping wit hsome of my co-workers and friends from my "brown frown" as they call it  motor hotel.  (el rancho... check itout)  Anyways, Kyle, Lee, Jesse, Richard, and I went hiking in the Badlands in Painted Canyon... saw lots of wildlife including 5 wild horses eating RIGHT beside the road, prairie dogs, buffalo, mule deer, antelope, and some mountain lion footprints.
  • Worked another week in Dickinson( the two hour away place...)  Its become evident that is where I will be working most of the summer.
  • One day after work Kyle and I saw a pack of wild horses running across the land... that was awesome.  We have always seen wild game just eating right beside the road and a cow dive into some water ( mainly just amused me)
  • Anyways, everyone is super cool.  There are NO vegetables here and its killing me.  The food is not nearly as good and there is NO SWEET TEA. (something good happens later)
  • So after a week or two at work I went to see Spiderman III with Richard and kyle and got sick immediately after returning.  Stayed puking etc, in my room for 4 to 5 hours til i was so dehydrated I couldnt walk-   HOSPITAL time.  Got 2 liters pumped in and three painkillers.  The nthe next day it just gets worse and im more dehydrated so I go back for more IV fluid, get stuck too many times because im so dehydrated my veins arent cooperating.  Get Morphine  phenigran and im read y to go.  Three days later I was great.  My arm is still recovering and I look like a heroin addict with all the bruises and scabs from the IVs/ attempts for IVs.
  • Feeling better I went to Minot to FINALLY shop!!!! Paycheck!    So we stayed in some hotel with temperpedic mattresses... it was awesome.  Got lots of clothes and went to Bismarck where we decide to eat at some barbecue place.... bad idea right???  Hello we are from the south......
  • Well, I immediately go into anti-barbecue since they dont have sweet tea....         BUT then they do have sweet tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  BEST DAY YET!       Saw the zoo and some neat animals and came home to work again.
  • I absolutely love it here.   A place I was dreading on going to ends up being so far what is the best summer yet! =)

  • OH!!!! BONNAROO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  17 days!

IM BAAAAAAAAAAACK!

So I thought it was important to atleast get back on here for the summer considering this will pretty much be the only way besides phone calls that I can keep up with everyone's lives.  Why?  Because I'll be in North Dakota.  I know very random, but my dad hooked me up with a job out there, and I think it will be fun.  I will be just a few hours away from tons of stuff-   Sturgis, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, the Badlands, the ND state fair comes in July just an hour or two away, a music festival on July 4th.....  I thought there was nothing around so I was really happy about this.

Oh, and you can see the aurora borealis from where I am so maybe if it is active I will get to see it!!!

I am 2 hours away from any mall BUT thats not too bad because that could be a weekend trip.  I will also have my better half with me so I will have a blast.

So whats been going on in my life....

  • I should have graduated this year but instead I'm staying one more year at State to get my minor in Latin and then I will head to Nashville for Med Tech school for a full year and then maybe med school.  I'm still iffy about that.
  • I have plans to attend Bonnaroo. It will be one of the two times I fly home.  I hope it will be fun.  There will only be 3-5 in my group and then I'll probably meet up with some more friends once I get there.  I'm really excited about that.
  • My puppy is doing great.  She is so cute and well-behaved.  I have to leave her in Jackson for the summer and it will be the hardest thing I have to do.  I love her more than anything (she's my baby).
  • I have learned how to play poker and relearned canasta.  While I'm not too great at poker, I am alright.  I actually lost 5 dollars playing last night
  • My house has been and still is being renovated.  It started in December and its still a disaster area.  About a month ago I came home to no floors, no walls, no ceilings, holes going to the outside, no furniture, one light, no sink, and two days after I got back we lost the oven and stove.... talk about not cool.  I love homecooked meals and it sucks not to be able to get them.  BUT as of a few days ago we have walls and lights, ceilings.  the floors and appliances will be in soon and cabinets for the kitchen will be made next week!  I'm hoping when I come home that everything will be completed.  I'm really excited to see the finished product.
  • My brother had surgery.  He is doing great now.

I cant think of anything else right now, but I'll try to update through the summer.  I leave tomorrow and drive up.  It will take 2 or 3 days so it may be a bit before I write again BUT I'm sure I will have a lot to say...

OH!!!  I dont know what the heck this gregory thing is or why some slide show is on here.... I never put these on my sites and I dont know....    its weird because I'm in the slide show.  I guess its a little mystery.

Have a great summer!!!!!!

Christmas is officially over today since it is the 12th day of Christmas.  However, my tree has been gone for a while now because we are redoing our whole house.  There is no furniture in the playroom, den, or living room and every bedroom has a sitting area comprised of a sofa and/or chair plus full walls of art  (quite interesting)   You have to go to your room for tv or the computer.

Things I got for Christmas:
  • accoustic guitar and amp
  • a 50 dollar gift certificate to char or amerigo
  • a new cd player in my car since it died
  • lots and lots of jewelry
  • widespread cd
  • phish cd
  • a check
  • a gift certificate to Starbucks
  • guitar hero 1 and 2

New years was the best time of my life.  Went to a Widespread Panic concert on the 30th and 31th.  I had so much fun I  didn't want to leave. Lots of hippies.  Lots of good food.  LOTS of fun!

New Years Resolution:   Have more patience.
